Liberty Mentorship Hub

LCA is indeed a platform to learn, unlearn and relearn. I heard about the Liberty Mentorship Hub platform through a friend who posted a link about the scholarship conference and from there I joined the Hub and I have never regretted that action I was motivated by the choice of speakers at the scholarship meeting which motivated me to join the Hub. I was assigned a mentor, but I had 2 mentors (blessing all the way). Both helped, spurred me and positioned me for the next phase of my career. Thankfully, I yielded and now I am practicing medicine graciously here in England The experience was amazing as I always had people to run to when I was at a crossroads and needed to set sentiments aside to make some decisions. My mentors helped me look at issues from other perspectives and this helped and championed my decision-making. My recommendations to anyone who gets into the program is to ask questions, seek help, and as much as possible, to maximize the potential of the Hub.

First of all, I must confess that this mentorship program is one of the best things I came by over the last one year. A saying by Dr. Stephen Akintayo goes thus, "if there is any shortcut to success in life, it is through mentorship". I can't agree less with this after benefitting from this program. I came by this program on Instagram and was motivated by the caption, "access to one-on-one mentorship" among others. I have seen programs that offer one on one mentorship, but they come at a cost while the LCA mentorship program is free and also offers more benefits. After setting my goals with my mentor, I highlighted my three goals which are (1) Getting a scholarship for my B.Sc in the USA. (2) Author a book. (3) Get started in my tech career. I am now a Software Engineer and currently transitioning into product management. I also came up as the second runner-up in an essay quiz last year with an admission from Iowa State University. These are goals that I don't know how they would have been achieved or ignited without a mentor. My overall experience is awesome. It has been very great, and I appreciate the academy for this initiative. I wish most people could access this mentorship program and experience the dynamic experience I encountered. I have become an ambassador of LCA, sharing the next cohort to teens on my contact list 😁 Once again, I commend the brains behind this initiative, more of it is needed in our society. And I am glad to have benefitted from it. God bless you all.

Being part of LCA’s Liberty Mentorship Hub was really a great privilege for me, I was stuck and confused about the right steps to take in my career before I was admitted, but now things are getting more reshaped. Through the guidance of my mentor, I was able to decide on what to do, this solved one of my challenges and it's bringing more light my way.

My involvement in Liberty Mentorship Hub cohort 5 has proven to be a truly remarkable journey. Initially, I joined with modest expectations, not only from the organization but also from my assigned mentor. However, the connection with my mentor has been instrumental in guiding me to establish personal goals and diligently pursue each one.

I joined LCA at a time when I was unsure of how to navigate my career path and achieve desired results. I can say that this journey truly impacted me in so many ways. Asides discovering new ways to pursue and achieve my goals, I gained a credible mentor and I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity. Thanks to Liberty Career Academy.

Last year, I was in a very perplexing phase of my life having suffered the loss of my dad during a period where I was to make major life decisions. I knew I needed a mentor to navigate the next phase in my career. I was pleased to come across the call for participants by Liberty Mentorship Hub on Twitter. To think that it would come at no cost, I registered, and I have no regrets. I had always desired to pursue graduate school abroad. It involved a series of applications, and the delay in getting the desired funding exacerbated my frustration. However, I was steadily reminded during the monthly meet-up with my mentor that despite being a woman, my dreams are valid and achievable. I was glad to see that the mentorship was classified according to your current stage and goals in life. Today, I am in the US pursuing a graduate degree in my desired course of study.
